We have been coming to the Keys to dive and teach for seven years. We have always used big “cattle boat” operations in the past. After diving with BlueWater Divers and Captain Eric, we will never return to the big boats again. Eric was fantastic as our Captain. He was very flexible, changing reefs after the first dive site did not have the best visibility. One of our advance students was very sea sick and Eric was very understanding when we decided to cancel our night dive. If you want great service, a fantastic Captain, and a smaller more personal dive boat, you can’t beat BlueWater Divers. We highly recommend BlueWater Divers and Captain Eric.

I just wanted to thank you both for an amazing diving experience. As a dedicated snorkeler, I had been very content to float above the action, and in the beautiful clear waters off Key Largo I was never disappointed. Even snorkeling I was able to see nurse sharks, eagle rays, barracudas, parrotfish, angelfish, and so many others. To be honest, I was always a little afraid of the diving equipment and whether I would be able to handle it.But no worries! After a short course and introduction Christi took me in the pool where I learned how to breathe through the regulator and inflate and deflate the BCD, and how to perform some basic skills. To my relief, it really wasn’t as complicated as I thought. Then in the afternoon I actually did my first dive! Christi (literally) held my hand the whole time, from the descent, to the whole hour we spent exploring Molasses Reef (at 40 ft.!) , to the ascent. My husband Bill was with us, taking pictures the whole time. The perspective you get is different when you’re diving as opposed to snorkeling; you’re much closer, for one thing. Christi was a great guide, pointing out things with the hand I wasn’t holding onto for dear life. For the first time, I was able to see eels hiding under the coral and a hogfish change color right in front of me. Although the conditions weren’t ideal (it was pretty rough) I had confidence that I was in good hands with Capt. Eric, and it was thanks to him that I was able to get on and off the boat safely. My purpose in writing this besides thanking you for taking such good care of me is to let everybody know that if you can teach me, you can teach anybody. I would encourage anyone who has an interest in diving but who may be scared for one reason or another to definitely give it a try. Bill and I look forward to going back out on the water with you soon.

Third time is a charm. We booked with BlueWater three times before we actually got to dive with them. They were great about the cancellations, first time was a tropical storm that evacuated our accommodations, second time was a combination of level 5 thunderstorms over the dive site that delayed the dive and a flat tire that prevented us from getting to the delayed dive, the third time was a charm, really great dive. All three were double dips on the Spiegel Grove. Our 5th trip to this tremendous dive spot. We owned our own boat for over 10 years and became quite accustomed to the independence of naming our own dive spots and schedules. Eric and Christi went out of their way to ensure that our exacting request was met, in spite of the previous aborted attempts. And then the dive itself was spectacular. During the surface interval Eric was quite the tour guide with his facts and historical knowledge of the Spiegel Grove and the surrounding area. I rarely have much to say about dive operations, but these folks are exceptional. If you want to dive anywhere near Key Largo give them a call. They also have access to discounted lodging in the area.

I just got back from a dive trip with these guys and they were great. I would highly recommend them to anyone. They take out a small boat, and on two of the days it was just me and my buddy with the crew. Also, we got to request our dive locations, and they were very helpful in giving us tips about how to do the dive and make the most of it. Lastly, they were extremely accommodating since we had to change our plans three different times. I will be diving with them in the future when I am in Key Largo.

For any one of you who might be traveling to Key Largo for some dive trips, I recommend Blue Water Divers. My boyfriend Rob and I used BlueWater Divers for our dives to the Christ Statue and the Minnow Caves and both of us agree that this was the best ocean dive we have ever experienced. We ended up being the only two divers on the boat but they still took us out. It was a very enjoyable experience just the two of us. Captain Eric was very knowledgeable about the spots he took us. In between dives he set up our tanks for the next dive, all we had to do was sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful day. He had orange slices and water for us if we needed to rehydrate. Both Rob and I never had a feeling of seasickness because our captain recommended “Triptone” which we took the night before and the morning of. Great Stuff!! I am waiting for the BlueWater Divers to get shirts made so that we can purchase one. Good Job Guys!!

Hi Christi!! You too Captain Eric!! Been thinking of both of you and would LOVE to be there for the pumpkin carving! Will be there in January and it won’t come soon enough. I have never had such an incredible diving experience as the one I had in May!! Will never forget it or you guys! No other dive company I have been with can top Blue Water Divers as far as giving me the kind of personalize diving I want. Keep up the great work!!!!

I got to double dip on the Spiegel yesterday with them and they ROCK. I came down solo from LA and had a blast diving with Christi and Eric. We even convinced them to take us out for another 3 dives later that day. A++ if you like to dive the way you want to dive and not get stuck with a big operation, with rules and reg’s of the inexperienced, go get some.
